Be that as it may,. it does appear that, despite who the coach is or what season it is, ND has been both inconsistent and unlucky (did you notice that BJDaniels fumbled and the ball mysteriously bounced into his hands?). We now know that the "Luck of the Irish" is generally bad if the USF game is any indicator. Work, work, work at holding onto the ball (JGray and Theo Riddick, e.g.) and stop, stop, stop those absolutely ludicrous penalties (are you hearing HSmith?). They have got to step up to their hype, experience, and talent.

The Irish Brogue: Yes. Look at the stats. Over recent years the Irish have a losing record at home. I can't imagine what Rockne, Leahy, and Ara are thinking. It is painful and embarrassing. But they don't deserve those boos from the student section when the going gets tough. Thank God for a more sympathetic Subway Alumni!
